about...

Dave Molnar is an artist and photographer who recently earned his MFA in Contemporary Art Practice at the University of Edinburgh. With early work rooted in b&w photography and wet darkroom techniques, for the last 6 years he has been working in a number of historic or ‘alternative’ processes; mainly gum bichromate, salted paper, and collodion. He enjoys the hands-on techniques and large degree of creative possibilities with room for interpretation. Combining digital techniques with these historic methods, he wants to see what new directions these techniques can be taken. Dave currently resides in Florida with his wife and 6 cats, and drives his 1970 VW Campmobile daily.
